A walking frame (Zimmer frame) gives stable, all-round support for people who need more help with balance and walking than a stick can give. The wheeled version can be pushed forward rather than lifted.
Directions for use:
Adjust the height so the handgrips are level with your wrists when your arms hang by your sides. Stand inside the frame. Move it a short step forward (lift a frame without wheels, push a wheeled frame), with all legs back on the ground. Step forward with the weaker leg first, then the stronger leg. Do not lean too far forward or use it on stairs. Check the rubber feet and wheels regularly.
